Company Information

General Converting, Inc. was founded in 1982 and was comprised then of three people, a 1 color press, a small die cutter, and a glue machine. Today, the thriving GCI remains an independent company and now employs a staff of 65 people, most of whom have been with the company for 10 years and longer.

Philosophy

Our fundamental philosophy is simple and effective: Become a working partner with our customers, and thoroughly understand the needs and requirements of each one. In this way we put ourselves in a position to anticipate those needs and respond.

General Converting has been structured to be flexible, creative, and immediately available to our customers. We don't permit anything to get in the way of our ability to respond.

Staff Partnership

It's the people, not the equipment that ultimately defines what makes the difference at GCI, and our people are the very best. GCI is a family, and the concepts of partnership and teamwork are not just buzzwords but a daily reality here. Our staff work together, share their efforts and expertise, and all get to daily participate in decisions both big and small, long term and short term.

Formal titles do not exist within the company because we believe they can sometimes get in the way of getting the job done. Nobody has all the answers and our open management style allows everyone to participate and grow. We are small enough, yet big enough, to relate to and support companies who need and demand the very best in quality and service—without the delays and bureaucracy often found in large companies. We're all responsible for getting the customer's job done and for delivering satisfaction, and we take that very seriously here at General Converting.
